Septic Design and Inspections

Member of WOSSA (Washington Onsite Sewage Association).  WOSSA is an advocacy group for the industry and a source of education for septic designers, installers, inspectors, and the general public.

Bearrach C. McMonagle is a licensed “On-Site Wastewater Treatment Systems Designer” with the State of Washington.  License # 5100389.  He has experience in this field dating from 1992.

We are licensed and will work in any county in the State of Washington, although we specialize in Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and Snohomish counties.

Owner has in depth knowledge of soils and soil series in relation to different areas of the State, different Counties, and even individual neighborhoods in reference to designing the best septic system for the client.

We look for the most well drained, deeper, and usually coarser soils available on-site.  This is the first and most important step in designing the most inexpensive and lower maintenance cost septic system.  We are relentless in searching out the best soils on your property!

We offer septic inspections, soil classification for a septic system (used to be called a Perc Test or Perk Testing"), soils registration with the county for future building, and septic systems design.  We also record as-builts, and help installers with the final settings of pumps and controls, etc.

We provide an easy to follow map for soil work with scaled measurements for the client.  We also provide a log of the soils to be used for the septic treatment field.  In addition, other landmarks such as the well, a house, wooded areas, steep slopes, streams, property lines, etc. are also shown.

Detailed instructions for the installer to meet all county requirements. When choosing us for your actual septic system design, the client is provided with all of the above soil work details.  Along with the soils information, the client will receive a detailed design of the best septic system for their needs and site conditions.

We charge a reasonable and fair FLAT RATE for these services.
